Nail surgeryWe perform two types of procedures, partial and total nail avulsion which involves the partial or complete removal of the nail under local analgesia. Normally we use a chemical ( phenol ) to prevent the area of nail which has been removed from growing again. Electro surgeryElectro surgery is used on certain chronic corns and verrucae. The lesions are removed, using electro cautory under local analgesia. As with nail surgery the procedure will be discussed fully and the patient will be assessed to determine if electro surgery is appropriate. |
