Some abnormalities of the foot and lower limb may not cause any problems under normal circumstances, however when taking part in sport they can become a problem due to the extreme stresses placed on the body during sport and the repetitive nature of the activity e.g. running, tennis and golf.

Common conditions such as plantar fasciitis, shin splints and knee pain may be caused by abnormal foot function and a full biomechanical assessment will determine a course of treatment. Treatment may include strapping, ice, advice, exercises, insoles or orthotics devices specifically designed for your sport.
